The Promenade

The Promenade is a 1,100 unit dual tower co-op building in Bethesda, Maryland with a connecting 35,000 square foot amenity building and lobby. Not having received an update since its original construction in the 60s, the amenity spaces were due for a major face lift. The original scope was to brighten and enhance the main arcade level corridor that connects the 2 buildings and contains the entrances to most of the building amenities, including an indoor pool, fitness center, restaurant, lounge and supermarket. Classic finishes were chosen to make the corridor sparkle. A large format porcelain tile is combined with chevron wall covering and the formerly all-brown trim and moldings were painted white. Future scopes will include a new lounge space, new club room, renovation of the restaurant and additional upgrades as requested and approved by the board of the co-op.
